Get your diaries ready!

Dear Church Family,

The national mood seems to be following the suggested pattern for life during Advent. Small cracks of light have started to appear in the midst of all the gloom. A vaccine being rolled out in the coming days and weeks, a lifting of the 2nd lockdown, and the opportunity to spend Christmas with some family members or friends. All of these recent events have given rise to renewed hope. Of course, we must be aware of the risks still present in society with Covid-19, and we must not take it as an opportunity to be reckless – our Christian vocation is always to the worship of God and love for our neighbours. Our own needs or desires should be placed after these first two commandments.

With all this in mind, we can now begin to firm up our plans for December and offer you some safe opportunities for worship, fellowship, and (dare I say it), some fun!

Pre-recorded Worship

The PCC and I have decided that the services between Christmas Day and New Year will be pre-recorded. This is to allow the Leadership Team a chance to enjoy the break with their families and friends and to minimise the cleaning commitments needed to keep the buildings safe.

Christmas Day Worship with sermon – available from 8am on Facebook.

Sunday 27th December, Holy Communion – available from 9.30am on Facebook.

The word of caution with all of the events listed above is that they may need to be cancelled if there is a localised outbreak of Coronavirus - particularly amongst the teams leading them. We are doing our utmost to keep the buildings as clean and as safe as we can. If you are coming to any church event, please do bring your masks, be ready to wash your hands, and to sign in at the door!

With every blessing this Advent,
