Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Welcome to our weekly pew sheet and updates blog! Remember to try and keep this sheet digital but do print copies for those who may need them.
Thanks! Sunday Morning:
Our readings for The 14th Sunday after Trinity are:
Collect Prayer: Almighty God,
whose only Son has opened for us
a new and living way into your presence:
give us pure hearts and steadfast wills
to worship you in spirit and in truth;
through Jesus Christ you Son our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever.
Post Communion Prayer: Lord God, the source of truth and love,
keep us faithful to the apostles' teaching and fellowship,
united in prayer and the breaking of bread,
and one in joy and simplicity of heart,
in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Parish Quiet Day
“A lantern to my feet and a light upon my path”
Saturday September 16th, 10am-4pm, All Saints’ Church
Psalms are some of the earliest poetry- the bedrock of the public and community prayers of the Jewish people- both of praise and thanksgiving, of lament and grief and anguish.
They have been used by Christians from the earliest times, and particularly by monastic communities, for centuries, and are still used in the daily worship of the Anglican Church. But they have also been used by individuals to express very private and often painful experiences of life and death; of God’s presence and his felt absence, and the whole journey through life.
The Quiet Day will be an opportunity to explore just a few of the psalms and how we may find in them a rich resource of both challenge and comfort for that journey.
Please let Chris Thomas know if you would like to attend 01277 210862
Spiritual guide or Companionship
Many people value the companionship and encouragement of another person as they walk the spiritual way and find a listening ear helpful.
Spiritual guides have been trained to do just that and to help you listen and discern how God is working in your life.
If this is something you might be interested in please pick up one of the leaflets at the back of the church which will give you some information or speak to me in private if you are unsure.
Chris Thomas LLM.
